Mighty the Armadillo is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is a peaceful anthropomorphic armadillo with a passion for traveling. Though he dislikes violence and roughness, Mighty is more than capable of such when trouble arises. Mighty's first appearance was in an arcade game named SEGASonic the Hedgehog. He was one of three playable characters, the other two being Sonic and Ray. Mighty's design is based on one of SEGA's original character design ideas for Sonic himsel
