Lilianne Rekowicz, Lily, (pol. Lilianna, Lilia) and referred to as Sadness by Marianne, is the tertiary protagonist of The Medium. Her spiritual form resembles a young girl who resides in the spiritual world version of the Niwa Resort. In the material world, she is the older sister of Marianne and the daughter of Thomas Rekowicz. She is also responsible for the creation of The Maw, the main antagonistic force of the game. She was born to Thomas Rekowicz and his unnamed wife sometime after 1966
